Art Two - Block print portraits

Below are examples of portraits using the block print method.  The white areas are carved away and the black is left in the material.  The block is then inked and printed.  What do you think?

  3. I think it is interesting how detailed the portraits are, considering that it was carved on a block of wood. I also think this would be very difficult to accomplish.

  7. All of these block print portraits are very unique and detailed. The artist being able to show gray, black, and white is very cool looking to me. My favorite is the 2nd because of the vast amount of detail involved.

  8. I like them all but some of them are creepy. The third one is creepy but I am most impressed with that one. The beard and face are very detailed, and I feel like if I could carve anyone, I would chose a bald person.
